EUROPEAN PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE ASSOCIATION

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is charged with managing the ordinary business of the Association, which includes, among a range of duties, selecting the location of the biennial conference, appointing the Editors-in-Chief of the EJPS, and coordinating the main activities of the Association. All members of the Steering Committee (i.e., its Officers) are elected for four-year terms. At every General Assembly of the Association, the terms of half of the members of the Steering Committee come to an end and the new members begin their terms (resulting in the election of half of the ordinary members of the Steering Committee every other year).

Several other sub-committees are appointed to carry out certain activities within the scope of the Association, including: the Local Organizing Committee and the Programme Committee of the biennial conference; the Nominations Committee for the EPSA's elections; and more recently the EPSA Fellowships Committee.

For more information about the governance of the EPSA, please consult our By-Laws.
