This year, the European Philosophy of Science Association is awarding 10 travel grants of up to 600€ to cover the travel costs of EPSA25 participants.

How to apply?

Participants wishing to benefit from one of these travel grants have until Friday 2 May 2025 to send a letter of application to the following address: epsa@philsci.eu

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate in their letter of application at least one of the following:

• Lack of sufficient alternative funding for basic travel costs.
• No further opportunities to apply for travel funding.
• No available personal research funding (e.g., from individual research projects).

Selection Criteria (in order of priority)

1. Geographical region – Priority given to scholars from the Global South and Eastern Europe.
2. Career status – Preference for temporary positions over permanent ones.
3. Career stage – Early-career researchers (up to five years post-PhD) prioritized over later-career scholars.

The letter of application should also specify:

• Affiliation and country
• Career status
• Career stage
• Budget estimate

Final decisions

Final decisions will be made on Wednesday 14 May 2025.
