Conference Programme

The conference will start on September 15 in the early afternoon (14:00 ca.) and finish on September 18 at lunchtime (13:00 ca.).

Poster session

The in-person poster session is scheduled on Wednesday 15 September at 18:00. Poster presenters can send their poster to Saúl Pérez González (saul dot perezgonzalez at unito dot it) by no later than 8 September. Posters should be sent in A0 format and as a PDF file. We will then arrange the printing and bring the posters to the conference site. Local staff will assist you with putting up and down the posters. This service is free of charge.

If online presenters wish their poster to be available on site, we can print it, too.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will be split into three groups and days due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically:

  • Ristorante Esperia, Corso Moncalieri 2, 15 September at 20:00
  • Ristorante Porto di Savona, Piazza Vittorio Veneto 2, 16 September at 20:00
  • Ristorante Esperia, Corso Moncalieri 2, 17 September at 19:30

Participants will be informed in the week of 6 September about the group to which they are allocated. This allocation will be based on the availability indicated in the registration form.

Pre-Conference Roundtable

"Science Policies, Research Funding, and the Future of the University"

In the morning of Wednesday 15 September there will be a pre-conference roundtable organised by Barbara Osimani. This roundtable presents current debates around science policies, research funding allocation and the future of the university, from diverse epistemological perspectives, not only in view of improving fairness towards the underprivileged, and the efficiency of the system, but also in order to foster a new role for science and research institutions in society.
